Accessibility

If any part of this site is hard to use, tell us and we will fix it.

Tell us about a problem

If something on this website is difficult or impossible for you to use, we want to hear about it. Call us at (813) 553-7006 during office hours, or send a message and describe what happened. Including the page you were on and the device or assistive technology you were using helps us reproduce it faster.

We will also give you the same information another way if that is easier. If a page is not working for you, we can read it to you over the phone or send it in another format.

What we have built this site to support

  • A skip link to the main content, and consistent landmarks and heading order on every page.
  • Full keyboard operation for navigation, menus, the FAQ accordions, the calculators, the contact form, and the cookie settings dialog, with a visible focus indicator throughout.
  • Visible labels on every form field, errors tied to the field they belong to, and status changes announced to screen readers.
  • Text that reflows at narrow widths and can be enlarged without content being cut off. Wide tables scroll inside their own container rather than moving the whole page.
  • Respect for the reduced-motion setting in your operating system. When it is switched on, the animated backgrounds and reveal animations do not run.
  • Videos that load only when you ask for them, and that carry the captions and transcripts published with them. Three videos have a full searchable transcript on the page.
  • Both a light and a dark theme, selectable on any page.

Where we know there is more to do

This is an ongoing effort rather than a finished state. Video content hosted on third-party platforms carries whatever captions those platforms provide, and documents linked from this site are hosted by third parties whose accessibility we do not control. Where a third-party page blocks you, contact us and we will get you the information directly.

We have not yet had an independent accessibility audit of this site. When one is completed, we will say so here.
